John Craven Opens Visitor Centre - August 9 2017


John Craven was the special guest at the opening of Castleton’s refurbished Visitor Centre and Museum.  The Centre, which is designed to be a flagship centre for the Peak District National Park, now includes a cafe, remodelled retail area and digital information displays and the Museum has a new layout, redesigned displays and a wall size screen for digital presentations.  See the Historical Society website and blog for photos.


There were plenty of other attractions, and visitors could participate in well dressing, river dipping, face painting and the other activities on offer.  See below.
